Dass Aero Engine Services (DAES) headquartered in Arlington, Texas, and headed by Alan Codlin, is a global services company with offices in 13 different countries throughout the world. The DAES team consists of experienced professionals with over 300 years of combined aerospace-related experience.

Bauer and DAES have had a longstanding relationship, with DAES acting as an extension to Bauer’s sales and marketing team. The working relationship between Bauer and DAES is robust, with a strong communication network, routine meetings, customer visits and training programs.

Each area of the world poses its own challenges and opportunities, so a major advantage of this working relationship is the permanent “in country” quick-response sales and support service DAES is able to offer to existing and potential Bauer customers.

The DAES UK office, headed by Paul Hodgkinson, is based in Derbyshire in the heart of England and close to the headquarters of Rolls Royce in Derby. From the UK office the territory covered for Bauer is the UK and Ireland, Scandinavia, the Iberian Peninsula, Italy and South Africa.

The UK has seen recent growth of Bauer products, particularly in the Wheel and Brake Shop equipment sector. A major UK airline is setting up its own W&B shop and has chosen Bauer to supply its Wheel Build Up Stands, Torquing Systems, and associated equipment.

In addition, an independent W&B shop in the UK has just upgraded its existing tyre inflation equipment by choosing Bauer designed and manufactured products.

In conjunction with the DAES office in Holland, headed by Miel Lommen, covering Central Europe and Turkey, and the DAES office based in Jordan headed by Mohammad Malkawi and covering the Middle East, Eastern Europe and North Africa, these three offices are involved with the majority of Bauer’s existing and potential customers for the region.

The combination of DAES in-territory presence, coupled with Bauer’s in-depth technical expertise, support and timely deliveries, continue to offer an effective solution to customer needs.
