Key advantages:

Accurate pressure measurement - All test pressures are measured using high accuracy ±0.1% F.S. pressure transducers located within the test stand to remove any effects of fluid head pressure at the nozzle.

 

Accurate flow measurement - High accuracy Coriolis mass flow measurement devices including fluid specific gravity measurement and display.  These flow meters have unequalled accuracy, longer calibration cycles than conventional turbine meters and no moving parts within the flow stream that can become damaged or deteriorate due to wear. Nozzle shroud air flow is measured using a true air mass flow meter for direct digital reading in the applicable engineering units or in terms of effective area when necessary.

Data Acquisition System (DAQ) - Automated versions provide nozzle specific test screens configured in accordance with the nozzles’ CMM.

Visibility - A variable intensity fiber optic light illuminates the spray cone from the bottom of the cone making definition of the spray boundary easily visible. The chamber exhaust system and auto scavenge system work together to keep the viewing area clear of mist and return as much fluid as possible to the fuel supply system.
