I would like to announce in this edition of AeroVision the business alliance we have established with Avtron Manufacturing of Independence, Ohio.  As Bauer is recognized as an industry leader in areas related to fuel, pneumatics and electro-mechanical components, Avtron is highly regarded for its expertise in relation to hydraulics, power generation and electrical control components.  Together, we cover a broad spectrum of aircraft systems for component test solutions.  We have formed this alliance primarily to create the opportunity to provide our customers with significant added value by combining efforts and resources to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists between us.

By working closely together, we will be able to expand our understanding and respond to our customers’ needs even better than before.  The most tangible benefits we will provide our mutual customers are related to technology and customer support.  Working closely together, we

will expand our knowledge base in terms of technology advances with aircraft components as they relate to testing requirements, especially in relation to electrical interfaces and data acquisition requirements.  With our combined customer support capabilities, we are able to provide services that range from workshop consultation in the planning stage to highly responsive on-site technical support after delivery.  With the technical representatives that both companies have located around the world, we are effectively doubling our capabilities by joining together.  Bauer and Avtron are looking to take further advantage of our technical support capabilities by providing installation, preventive maintenance and calibration services.

So far, in the relatively short time we have been working together, we have been selected jointly by two international customers for test equipment packages.  These include power generation and engine fuel accessories test equipment in one case, and hydraulic component and pneumatic component test equipment in the other.  Our combined understanding of these customers’ requirements and our ability to commit to provide long-term, local technical support were the primary factors that set us apart from the competition.
