I would like to announce in this edition of AeroVision the business alliance we have established with Avtron Manufacturing of Independence, Ohio.  As Bauer is recognized as an industry leader in areas related to fuel, pneumatics and electro-mechanical components, Avtron is highly regarded for its expertise in relation to hydraulics, power generation and electrical control components.  Together, we cover a broad spectrum of aircraft systems for component test solutions.  We have formed this alliance primarily to create the opportunity to provide our customers with significant added value by combining efforts and resources to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and experience that exists between us.

New Project
Electrical Pneumatic Accessories Test Stand

As part of a contract to provide state-of-the-art test systems for a new component repair operation covering a wide range of commercial and military engine accessories, we’ve added a newly designed Electrical Pneumatic Accessories Test Stand to our product line. The new aspects of this equipment are the test and measurement capabilities for the testing of engine ignition system components, cables and harnesses.

Employee Spotlight
Lio Gervasi

Language is basic to life.  The ability to learn and communicate not only in your language of birth, but also in your adopted language is fundamentally basic to the contribution you are able to make to those around you.  Upon arriving in the United States from Sicily at the age of 11, Lio Gervasi was relied upon by his family as an interpreter both in the Italian community of New Britain, Connecticut, and in the world of telephones, bills, shopping and just getting along.  Lio, whose full name is actually Aurelio, has a theory that new languages can be picked up quickly by people up to approximately the age of 16 by melding them with new surroundings.  So when his older brothers joined the family later in the U.S., he became their translator as well.
